1. Attaching the Shock Mount and Stand

The HyperX QuadCast 2 comes with a pre-attached removable shock mount. This mount helps to isolate the microphone and dampen the sound of unintentional rumbles and bumps. If you need to remove or reattach it, gently twist the microphone counter-clockwise to detach it from the mount. Ensure it is securely fastened when reattaching.

1. Adjusting Microphone Gain and Volume

The HyperX QuadCast 2 features an intuitive multifunction knob located at the base of the microphone. This knob allows you to adjust microphone gain, playback volume, and mic monitoring volume. Rotate the knob to increase or decrease the respective audio levels. The LED indicators around the knob will provide visual feedback on the current setting.

2. Tap-to-Mute Sensor

For instant muting, simply tap the top of the microphone. The built-in LED lighting will change to indicate the mute status, providing a clear visual cue. Tap again to unmute.

3. Selecting Polar Patterns

The QuadCast 2 offers four selectable polar patterns to optimize your audio capture for different scenarios:

  • Cardioid: Ideal for podcasts, streaming, voiceovers, and instruments. Captures sound directly in front of the microphone.
  • Omndirectional: Best for multi-person podcasts and conference calls. Captures sound equally from all directions.
  • Dà-thaobhach: Suitable for face-to-face interviews. Captures sound from the front and rear of the microphone.
  • Stereo: Perfect for vocals, instruments, and ASMR. Captures a wide, immersive soundstage.

To change the polar pattern, press and hold the multifunction knob until the pattern changes. The LED indicators will show the currently selected pattern.

The HyperX QuadCast 2 delivers high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio, ensuring clear and detailed sound capture for all your recording needs.

5. Customizable LED Lighting

Personalize your microphone's appearance with customizable LED lighting. While the Frost model features vibrant blue lighting, the HyperX NGENUITY software allows for further customization of lighting effects and colors (note: some models may have color limitations).
