The RISING PHOENIX RP 50080 Deluxe Telescope is designed for quick and easy assembly. Follow these steps to set up your telescope:

  1. Cruinneachadh Tripod: Extend the legs of the stainless steel tripod to your desired height. The tripod is fully height-adjustable and features pointed feet for stability on various terrains. Ensure the tripod is stable on a flat surface.
  2. Mounting the Telescope Tube: Securely attach the telescope optical tube to the equatorial mount on the tripod. Ensure all locking mechanisms are tightened.
  3. Attaching the Red Dot Finderscope: Mount the Red Dot Finderscope onto its designated slot on the telescope tube. This will assist in locating objects.
  4. Inserting the Erecting Prism: Insert the 45-degree erecting prism into the focuser. This prism ensures an upright image, which is beneficial for terrestrial viewing.
  5. A 'taghadh pìos sùla: Choose an eyepiece (e.g., 25mm for lower magnification and wider field of view) and insert it into the erecting prism. Secure it with the thumbscrew.
  6. Tray accessory: Attach the accessory tray to the tripod for convenient storage of eyepieces and filters during observation.

Using the Red Dot Finderscope

The Red Dot Finderscope simplifies locating objects in the night sky. To use it, first align the finderscope with the main telescope during daylight hours by pointing the main telescope at a distant, stationary object. Adjust the finderscope until the red dot is centered on the same object. When observing, simply point the red dot at your desired celestial object, then look through the main telescope's eyepiece for a magnified view.

Utilizing Filters

The complete filter kit enhances your viewing experience and protects your eyes. The solar filter is essential for safe solar observation (NEVER look directly at the sun without a certified solar filter). The lunar filter reduces glare from the moon, providing clearer, more detailed views. The three color filters can be used to enhance contrast and reveal subtle details on planets and other celestial bodies.

Smartphone Photography

To capture images through your telescope, attach your smartphone to the included smartphone adapter. Connect the Bluetooth remote control to your phone. This allows you to take photos wirelessly, minimizing vibrations and ensuring sharp images. Simply place your phone in the adapter and use the remote to trigger the camera.

Goireasan Ionnsachaidh

The included planisphere and Star Finding Book are valuable tools for navigating the night sky. The planisphere helps you identify visible constellations and celestial objects based on the date and time. The Star Finding Book provides guidance on locating constellations and galaxies, enhancing your astronomical knowledge.
