    The Ortofon OM5e cartridge is typically pre-mounted. Adjust the counterweight by rotating it until the tonearm floats horizontally. Then, set the tracking force according to the cartridge manufacturer's recommendation (typically 1.75g for OM5e). Attach the anti-skate weight to the anti-skate wire and loop it over the appropriate groove on the anti-skate stub.

    Place a record on the platter. Carefully lift the tonearm using the cueing lever. Position the stylus over the desired groove on the record. Gently lower the cueing lever to allow the stylus to descend onto the record.
