5.1 Workpiece Preparation:
- Select a suitable piece of wood, free from knots, cracks, or foreign objects.
- Ensure the workpiece dimensions do not exceed the lathe's capacity (max. 60 cm length, 25 cm diameter).
- Mark the center points on both ends of the workpiece for mounting between centers.
5.2 Mounting the Workpiece:
- Between Centers: Place one end of the workpiece onto the headstock's 4-tooth drive center. Bring the tailstock forward and engage its live center into the marked center of the workpiece. Lock the tailstock firmly on the machine bed and advance the tailstock quill to apply sufficient pressure to hold the workpiece securely.
- On Faceplate: For irregular or short workpieces, attach the workpiece to the 80mm faceplate using screws. Then, screw the faceplate onto the M18 threaded spindle of the headstock.
5.3 Adjusting the Tool Rest:

- Lock the tool rest securely in place.
5.4 Setting Speed and Operation:
