5.2. Ceangal Cumhachd

  1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the DABMAN 65.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the provided 12V/24V car charger.
  3. Insert the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The device will power on automatically or can be turned on by pressing the power button.

Connect the external DAB+ antenna to the MCX antenna connector on the DABMAN 65. For optimal reception, position the antenna on your windshield or another suitable location, ensuring it has a clear line of sight.

5.4. Initial FM Transmitter Setup

To transmit audio to your car radio:

  1. Tune your car radio to an unused FM frequency (e.g., 87.6 MHz or 107.9 MHz). Choose a frequency with no existing radio broadcast.
  2. On the DABMAN 65, press the 'Tx Scan' button or navigate to the FM Transmitter settings in the menu.
  3. Select the same unused FM frequency on the DABMAN 65. This establishes the connection between the adapter and your car radio.

  5. To recall a preset, briefly press the 'Preset' button and select the desired preset.

6.3. Bluetooth Pairing and Hands-free Function

  1. Press the 'Mode' button until 'Bluetooth' mode is selected. The display will show 'Pairing' or similar.
  2. On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select 'DABMAN 65' from the list.
  3. Once paired, you can stream audio from your phone to the DABMAN 65.
  4. For hands-free calls, when a call comes in, press the central call button (on the scroll wheel) to answer. Press again to end the call.

6.4. MicroSD MP3 Playback

  1. Insert a MicroSD card (up to 32 GB) containing MP3 files into the designated slot on the DABMAN 65.
  2. Press the 'Mode' button until 'MicroSD' or 'MP3' mode is selected.
  3. The device will automatically start playing music. Use the scroll wheel to navigate through tracks or folders.

  • Increase the volume on both the DABMAN 65 and your car radio.
  • If using the 3.5mm audio out, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the DABMAN 65 and your car's AUX input, and your car radio is set to AUX mode.
