4.2 Connecting the Antenna Cable

The antenna unit connects to your vehicle's security or remote start system via the provided 5-pin cable. Locate the 5-pin port on the antenna unit and the corresponding connector on the cable.

Carefully align the 5-pin connector from the cable with the port on the antenna unit and push firmly until it is securely seated. Ensure the connection is snug to prevent signal loss.

4.3 Cable Replacement Considerations

For some compatible models, the existing antenna cable may be sufficient. However, for other models, particularly those replacing Code Alarm and Prestige part 1181128, it may be necessary to replace the original antenna cable with the one included in this package. Always refer to your specific system's installation guide for definitive instructions regarding cable replacement.

4.4 Mounting the Antenna Unit

The antenna unit typically mounts on the vehicle's windshield or dashboard using the pre-applied 3M VHB adhesive. Choose a location that allows for optimal signal reception and is clear of obstructions. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying the adhesive.
