The Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Medium Filter Cartridges are designed to maintain crystal clear and healthy aquarium water. These unassembled replacement cartridges effectively remove odors, discoloration, debris, and fish waste through their dense, dual-sided mesh and Ultra-Activated carbon. This manual provides instructions for the proper assembly, installation, and maintenance of your filter cartridges.

These cartridges are compatible with Tetra Whisper IQ 10 and PF10 external power filters, and Tetra Whisper 10i Internal Power Filters.

The Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag filter cartridges are provided unassembled for convenience and cost-effectiveness. Follow these steps to prepare your filter cartridge for use:

2. Insert Filter Bag: Slide the filter bag over the frame.
3. Add Carbon: Open one packet of Ultra-Activated Carbon and carefully add it into the filter bag.
4. Secure the Bag: Press the Aerobic Frame flaps down over the top of the filter bag and press the clip down over the flaps to secure the bag.
5. Rinse: Rinse the assembled filter cartridge under cool tap water to remove any carbon dust.
6. Stàladh: Insert the new filter cartridge into your Tetra Whisper power filter.

You may need to replace the cartridge sooner if you observe reduced water flow from the filter, indicating a clogged Bio-Bag.

For enhanced water clarity and health, consider Tetra Whisper cartridges with Stay Clean Technology. This technology helps maintain healthier levels of pH, alkalinity, and nitrate over a longer period, contributing to cleaner glass and a more stable aquatic environment.

If you notice a decrease in water flow from your filter, it is likely that the Bio-Bag filter cartridge is becoming clogged with debris. This is a normal occurrence and indicates that the filter is effectively doing its job. Simply replace the clogged cartridge with a new, freshly assembled one following the setup instructions.

For persistent water clarity issues or unusual odors, ensure that the filter cartridge is being replaced regularly (monthly is recommended) and that the correct size cartridge is being used for your specific filter model.
