3.1 A’ dì-phapadh

Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage. Inspect the fridge for any signs of damage incurred during transit. If damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact your dealer immediately.

3.2 Suidheachadh

Place the Dometic CombiCool RF60 on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper air circulation, especially at the rear where the cooling unit is located. Avoid placing the fridge in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this will reduce its cooling efficiency.

3.3 Ceangal Tùsail

Before connecting to any power source, allow the fridge to stand upright for at least 6 hours if it has been transported horizontally. This allows the refrigerant fluid to settle. Once settled, you can proceed with connecting to your desired power source.

4. Stiùireadh Obrachaidh

4.1 Modhan Cumhachd

The Dometic CombiCool RF60 offers three power options:

  • Obrachadh 12V DC: Connect the 12V DC cable to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket or a suitable 12V power outlet. This mode is primarily for maintaining temperature while travelling. For optimal performance, ensure the vehicle engine is running to prevent battery drain.
  • 230V AC Operation: Connect the 230V AC cable to a standard mains power outlet. This mode provides the most consistent cooling performance and is suitable for use at home or campsites with electrical hook-up.
  • Obrachadh Gas: Connect the fridge to an approved LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinder using a suitable gas hose and regulator (not supplied). Ensure all connections are secure. To ignite, turn the gas supply on, press and hold the gas control knob, and repeatedly press the ignition button (which typically uses an AAA battery) until the flame ignites. Hold the knob for a few more seconds after ignition to ensure it stays lit. Always ensure proper ventilation when operating on gas.

4.2 Smachd Teòthachd

The temperature inside the fridge is controlled by a thermostat dial, usually located on the control panel. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity. A higher setting typically means colder temperatures. Allow several hours for the fridge to reach its set temperature, especially during initial cool-down.

4.3 Door Lock and Vent Option

The fridge is equipped with a secure door lock to prevent accidental opening during transport. It also features a vent option, which allows the door to be slightly ajar when the fridge is not in use. This prevents the build-up of odours and mildew inside the appliance.

4.4 Sgeilp fhreagarrach

The interior of the fridge includes adjustable shelves, allowing you to customize the storage space according to your needs. To adjust, simply lift the shelf and reposition it into the desired slots.

5. Cumail suas

5.1 Glanadh

Regular cleaning of your fridge will ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Disconnect the appliance from all power sources before cleaning.

  • Taobh a-staigh: Clean the interior with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Taobh a-muigh: Sguab na h-uachdaran a-muigh le sanasamp aodach.
  • Rear Cooling Unit: Periodically clean dust and debris from the rear cooling unit with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to ensure efficient heat dissipation.

5.2 A’ dì-ghalarachadh

Over time, frost may build up on the cooling fins. When the frost layer becomes thick (approximately 3mm), the fridge should be defrosted. Disconnect the appliance from all power sources, remove all contents, and leave the door open. Place a towel or tray to collect any meltwater. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before restarting.

5.3 Stòradh

When storing the fridge for an extended period, ensure it is clean and completely dry. Leave the door slightly ajar using the vent option to prevent odours and mildew. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.
